Zacchary Bird has worn many hats, he’s been the food editor of the Plant-based news, and a recipe developer for Unreal Co. The Melbourne-based vegan chef has by-lines in the Guardian, SBS food and Veg News.

But Zacchary Bird is best known as an award winning cookbook author. Zacchary’s last cookbook - Vegan Junk food - was released in September 2020 to critical acclaim.

His latest cookbook The Vegan Butcher was just awarded PETA’s cookbook of the year and it is available online and in all good book stores.

In the podcast we get into everything from washing flour for the perfect seitan to the history of plant-based proteins and fighting fatphobia in the vegan community.
